Heckston, Ontario
July, 2nd, 2019
Amidst the backdrop of overcast skies, twenty-two proud members of the Orange Association displayed their colours for the congregation and community of Heckston, Ontario on Sunday July 2nd for late morning worship, and fellowship .
Lead into the service by the piping of Rev. Blair Paterson, the various representatives of the Loyal Orange Lodge, Loyal Orange Benevolent Association, Royal Black Preceptory, Orange Young Britons, Loyal True Blues, and Apprentice Boys of Derry reflected on the Reverend’s message that ‘We Get More Done When We Work Together’, before retiring to the church hall for a light lunch and continued celebration.
The service, hosted by Rideau St-Lawrence County Loyal Orange Lodge, and held at St. Andrews United Church has been a fixture in Heckston for nearly two decades.
